Nestled in the stunning landscapes of Devon, on a local working farm, our summer camp offers an exciting array of activities. From kayaking, to stand-up paddle boarding in crystal-clear waters, relaxing days on the beach with you mates and so so much more. Are you ready to join us on this incredible journey?
Welcome to Mullacott Farm…
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Devon, Mullacott Farm is our welcoming home for the week.
Picture this: pitching your tent with your mates, all with stunning coastal views, with the convenience of group cooking/dining/social marquees.
Owned by local Explorer Leader’s, we couldn’t think of a more perfect match. They’ll let us dig holes, and have fires e.t.c, and where ball games and kites are encouraged. Bonus, the site comes with showers and toilets.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Just a hop, skip, jump and 10 minutes minibus drive away lies the vibrant coastal town of Ilfracombe.
The site is a working farm as well, so there maybe a few opportunities to get hands on and help out.

What are we doing?
Dive into the exhilarating world of coasteering and stand up paddleboading (we’re getting party size ones, so think like 10 to a board) – where you’ll navigate the coast through caves and in to beautiful secluded coves and beaches, finding some coasteering jumps for those who are keen (for those not so daring you can either watch from the rocks or on the boards), playing some games such as making a slip n’ slide, attempting a human pyramid (yes, on the board!), a bit of last man standing to see who the elite are and so much more! We also have a chest full of goodies that you unlock once we get to the beach, along with building a fire on the beach – that will give you the little energy boost you need to paddle back.
Take advantage of a day’s surfing lessons, by seasoned professionals and master the waves like a pro. You’ll soon be doing backflips and riding those crests.
We’ll be spending the day at the beach, doing all those things you did as a child – think digging big holes, playing volleyball, and building sandcastles. A fish and chip dinner on the beach will finish the day off nicely.
The coastal paths will guide along, from sleepy fishing villages to bustling towns on a day’s walk in the sun. Who know’s what we’ll come across…
Amidst all the excitement, lend a hand on the farm, immersing yourself in hands-on activities and embracing the rustic charm of rural life.

- The camp leader is Matt Downs and can be contacted by email or phone.
- 10 volunteer members of our leadership team will be attending too (Ian, Jake, James B, James M, Louis, Matt, Megan, Oli, Scott & Sid).
- Places will be on a first-come-first-served basis. We can only take 40 Explorers due to limits placed on us by vehicles.
- Deposits must be paid by Friday 31st May 2024 (as we have to confirm numbers for activity providers)
- All payments must be made by Sunday 30th June 2024 (to give us enough time to get everything sorted/funds to clear)
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- We can point you in the direction of grants available to help with financing the camp if needed.
- We’ll be catering as a group, and cater to all dietary requirements.
