Being invested

Everyone is welcome

The process usually takes place once you’ve had a few weeks to settle in, and is known as being ‘invested’ into Explorers.

To be invested, you will need uniform.

At The Unit, we try to do this a little differently. We generally pick an awesome activity or time, to do this – to make it a special and memorable moment for you – think halfway down an abseiling wall!

During the investiture, you’ll have to repeat back a simple promise. The Promise is a simple way to help young people and adults celebrate their shared Scout values. Every Scout promises to stick by these values when they become a member.

It’s important that every member has the chance to think about their Promise and chat through its meaning before they make their Promise for the first time during a special ceremony we call an investiture.

Please let us know which promise you would like to make.
